Apparently, quarantine and cleaning out the garage are connected.
In my current experience, this effort created a load of paper to shred, some real trash, and then, happily a box of family pictures.
Every picture meant to be looked at.
A good guess as to the date it was taken.
Remembering specific events, trips, and graduations.
A call or two to family members. “guess what I found”
Sober thoughts about how fast time passes.
This year, time seems to be moving along very slowly. There are serious things to think about, handle, manage in new ways, discover and accept. This is not a year to “shred” rather one that challenges us to learn, change, grow, and cope.
Regardless of whether or not this year is “welcome” let’s aim to be our best selves, be learners, and be kind to ourselves and others.
Looking back from the future, let there be freshness, new resolve, skills, vision and accomplishment. Let this year’s pictures reflect solid memories.
