Life is changed. We are facing new challenges and feelings, and maybe questioning what to think now or do now. We can thrive in this time, but it takes a bit of “Intentional Thought”.
Suggestions along the lines of “making lemonade”!
Options on how to spend “down” time.
REST – from your daily work, assignments, busy thoughts, pressures. This takes some practice as we don’t always value “down time”.
Let STRESS go. Ask where it is coming from? Can you settle issues that continue to create it? Can you change the way you frame things?
WALK yourself and especially the dog. You may consider this exercise, but it is also rest. You breathe, see your surroundings differently, aren’t speeding by, and can begin to see things in a fresh light. (Wave at other dog walkers!)
COOK for yourself. Admittedly this can be problematic, but it is a neat way to care for yourself. (use recipes)
CALL friends, family, even strangers. They are also experiencing new aloneness and will appreciate your reaching out.
THINK FREELY without outside pressures. Reconsider your assumptions about your goals,
work, the people around you and their needs.
Your PLANS. Look backward and forward to find new purposes, or possibly current efforts you can/should let go of. Identify things that burden you or don’t work for you anymore
You are staying home. This is your useful time. A GIFT.
You are being KIND to humanity
