WALKING OUTSIDE

Benefits of walking are amazing.

We are separated from our technology which  temporarily allows us to focus on our surroundings.

We follow our trail, notice our feet and possibly have conversation with a friend as we move.

Outside walking opens us to nature.  Birds, squirrels, blooming things, trees, fluttering flags, and our own breath can come into focus.

That opportunity to focus has its own rewards.  Problems get resolved with fresh thinking. Organizing  priorities gets easier.

The obvious health rewards include reduced blood pressure, strengthening, deep breathing, and relaxation. Risks of cardiovascular disease and stroke are reduced with even a daily 30-minute walk. Bone and joint strength, weight loss, improved sleep, mood, and even extend your life.

SO, if any of the above outcomes is appealing, find a walking buddy, a safe path, buy a good pair of walking shoes, and GO FOR IT!
